Aotearoa Film Festival 2009 – Te Wananga o Aotearoa, its name, which is in Māori, literally means “University of New Zealand” is again honoured to host the 2nd Annual Aotearoa Film Festival, screening at their Rotorua Campus, August 13th and 14th 2009.

Festival! This Festival aims to develop a synergy of creativity and accessibility by taking the films and their creators to our communities throughout Aotearoa.More @ NZlive

This event is free. Hosted and organized by Te Wānanga o Aotearoa – School of Performing Arts.

You can park your motorhome at Rotorua Family Holiday Park located at 22 Beaumont Road, Ngongotaha. You can reach it in just about 15 minutes from the venue Head northeast on Malfroy Rd toward Westbrook PI. Then Turn left at Old Taupo Rd and continue on Fairy Springs Rd, Continue on Ngongotaha Rd, Turn right at Beaumont Rd. and your Campervan hire New Zealand is home.

This summer the Carnival is expected to be as big as other years with the variety of activities and entertainment including the amazing midnight New Years Eve fireworks display. The amazing midnight New Years Eve fireworks display is a must to see and a excellent night of family entertainment. The holidaymakers are treated to fairground style rides, free daily concerts, along with a variety of activities such as Inflatables, Mini Golf, Truck & Trailer Rig, Amac Bungy Trampoline, Train Rides and events and competitions along with entertainment by popular New Zealand artists. Newport’s Christmas Boat Parade

Newport’s Christmas Boat Parade has been judged one of the top ten holiday events in the country by the New York Times. The boats promenade along a 14-mile route and range from modest small craft to imposing trophy yachts. Many are elaborately decorated, with outlandish Christmas decorations and squadrons of carollers.
