Get to the snow with your skiboards in New Zealand’s ski season! Its the Queenstown Winterfestival (June 26 – July 5, 2009) Attracting over 60,000 of people of endless parties and events to experience. Come on to the Southern hemispehere’s biggest winter party. Yeehaa!

June 26th (American express opening party) 6:00pm – 9pm at the Lake Front. Enjoy and experience an amazing opening fireworks! The 18th Lindauer Top Blokes Launch party will start 7pm at the Memorial Hall Tickets at $18 R18. Live Entertainment Free featuring the Oystermen 9pm at the Sky City Queenstown Casino..And more other events.

June 27th’s main event is the Ohakune Mountain Mardi Gras. Dress up and hit to “The Junction” OHAKUNE and start rocking at 600 m above sea level (a party 1000m away from the slopes of Mt Ruapehu and being there is a significance to be called. The party starts at 7:00 pm be sure to dress up. FULL STOP will start at 7:30pm to play the best of the Ska music. 8:30pm will call on the HUGE Mardi Gras FIRE & FIREWORKS Display. And more concerts and shows at by 8:45, 10;00pm, and 11:30pm by the KINGSTON, MIDNIGHT YOUTH and your favorite GENERAL LEE, respectively.

More day and night events are to see for New Zealand’s ten days of outrageous Winter festival. A space for optimism” is 2009’s theme of Lismore Lantern Parade in New South Wales Australia on June 20-21. Despite the pessimistic occurrence about economic, social and environmental concerns individual and organizations cope up in various ways to retain a good standing.
